RPM is an energetic and engaging show that combines theatre, circus, dance, and roller-skating.
And it all takes place on a giant treadmill!
Mixing historic news clips, acrobatics, street dance, and circus, the skilled performers take us from Windrush to modern day Britain as they explore links between current issues and the UK's troubled history in breath-taking and dazzling fashion.
Inspiring and entertaining, RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) has been created with the intention of provoking thought and discussion to explore the question of whether the UK has ever seriously confronted its colonial past.
Founded by a former flying trapeze artist, Gorilla Circus is on a mission to innovate, improve, and create new varieties of spectaculars that tell important stories. Their productions both amaze and challenge audiences, setting their magic into exciting new structures.
Gorilla Circus: RPM is part of HOME - a season of work exploring the idea of HOME.
