Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan (Little Women) plays a desperate teacher in an underfunded school in this jet-black satirical thriller.

Tested by a foul-mouthed, violent pupil (Eddie Waller) and hung out to dry by her school, teacher Maria (Ronan) hits breaking point, and with a split-second decision sparks a chain of events that raises uncomfortable questions about responsibility, authority and the limits of patience. Seamlessly blending satire, suspense and social commentary, Bad Apples asks how far any school might go to maintain an outstanding score from Ofsted.
