Tunisia’s Oscars entry for Best International Feature, Kaouther Ben Hania’s essential film asks us to bear witness to the unspeakable suffering of Gaza’s children. 

January 29, 2024. Workers at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society receive an emergency call. A terrified 6-year-old is trapped under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her, but are hindered by complex rescue protocols. Her name was Hind Rajab.
