Back in cinemas for its 50th anniversary, Spielberg’s iconic summer blockbuster is a judicious hit of pure terror enhanced by one of the greatest scores of all time.
When a murderous great white begins a killing spree off the shores of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Schneider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him. Instead, an ichthyologist (Richard Dreyfuss), a grizzled ship captain (Robert Shaw) join Brody on a voyage to kill the shark in the open sea: setting the stage for an epic and unforgettable battle of man vs. beast.

Our team is sharing the films they love so you can enjoy them on the big screen.
"Easily in my top 5 favourite films of all time. I’m incredibly excited to see it on the big screen. It’s so much more than a shark movie – it’s a staple in cinema history. Everyone recognises it’s iconic two-note theme music which has viewers from generation after generation afraid to go into the water."
