Student performing at the Welcome Week Stage

Platform – Student Collaborations

Our Platform programme supports University of Warwick students to showcase new works and works in progress on our stages and in our spaces.

Are you a University of Warwick student, group or society that has a vision you’d like to bring to our stage? This is your chance to showcase an idea, a work in progress, a development project, a workshop, talk, Q&A, a music or drama performance or art event to Warwick Arts Centre. This opportunity comes with a budget, use of space at the Arts Centre and the skills and expertise of our staff team to help make brilliant creative events happen.

This your PLATFORM.

Got an idea that you would like to Platform at Warwick Arts Centre?

Here's our housekeeping:

  • Get your expressions of interest to us via email by 10am on 25 Nov
  • Our WAC panel will meet to shortlist on 25 Nov
  • You must be available to attend a meeting with us to present your idea on 27 Nov
  • We are able to support up to 6 student collaboration events through Autumn, Spring and Summer
  • We can only accept submissions from University of Warwick students.
  • These events can take the shape of works in progress, performances, workshops, talks,
    screenings, exhibitions, and more.
  • To ensure the process is fair and open to all, we ask that students
complete an Expression of Interest and prepare a short presentation.
  • A panel of our staff members will meet on a termly basis to select
    which events we can platform.
  • Please let us know:
    • Your idea & working title
    • What kind of event is it? – workshop, performance, exhibition, dance, music, drama, social, career event?
    • Your preferred dates and venues
    • Your projected costs (if known)
    • List of things you will need – props, tech, tables, chairs, materials, catering, people etc.
    • How you heard about the opportunity

For more information about the programme, you can read our information pack.
