Meet our new Creative Director

Posted
Wednesday 22 November

Hi everyone, I’m Beth Byrne, and I’ll be joining Warwick Arts Centre in January as the new Creative Director.

Having toured here many times in previous roles, I know this is a venue that holds an important place for many artists - from the outset and to the pinnacle of their careers.

I am really excited to be a part of the team that gets to fill these fantastic spaces, and create a programme for as many people as possible to enjoy.

A bit about me

I have been producing work for the stage for many years and have been fortunate to work with some wonderful companies and venues during that time.

Most recently I have been CEO of East London's multi-artform heritage venue, Shoreditch Town Hall.

I was previously Executive Producer at Southbank Centre in London, overseeing the artistic team responsible for delivering 4,500 events annually.

Some of my other roles included Executive Director of Cheek by Jowl Theatre Company (a company well known to Arts Centre theatre audiences), Associate Producer for War Horse West End; Associate Producer at Neal Street Productions and the Donmar Warehouse, London.

I’m looking forward to working with the brilliant team here, building on their great work to create a programme that breaks down barriers and where everyone feels welcome to experience joyful, communal and memorable events.

Hope to see you all at a performance, film, workshop or exhibition here soon!

Beth Byrne, Creative Director
