Dance Passion 2022
Fifty dance companies from across the country take part in BBC Arts and One Dance UK’s Dance Passion, with Warwick Arts Centre centre stage.
Taking place throughout February and March 2022, Dance Passion is a landmark celebration of the world-class dance that happens across the UK.
Pulling together talent from across all four nations to bring the best of dance to audiences at home, this exciting project features performances by leading companies captured at 'hubs' across the country - including Warwick Arts Centre.
Alongside us, other venues taking part include the Leeds' Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Sadlers’ Wells in London, and Theatre Royal Plymouth’s TR2.
A special highlights programme - presented by Josie d’Arby and Karim Zeroual - is broadcast on BBC Four (Sunday 20 February 2022), and followed by five hour-long episodes on BBC iPlayer (weekly from Tuesday 1 March 2022).
Items to look out for include a new film from trailblazing New Zealand-born/Birmingham-based choreographer Corey Baker, plus appearances from many companies who'll be familiar to Warwick Arts Centre regulars, including Leamington Spa's Motionhouse, Candoco Dance Company, and BRB.
