Powered by a transformative Amanda Seyfried, Mona Fastvold’s exhilarating epic captures the agony and ecstasy of radical preacher Ann Lee.

Spanning 18th-century England and America, visionary leader Ann Lee (Seyfried) rises from obscurity to forge the Shaker movement. Haunted by tragedy but driven by her beliefs in social equality and ecstatic devotion, she gathers followers who come to see her as the female embodiment of Christ. Featuring music from Oscar winner Daniel Blumberg, The Testament of Ann Lee infuses her incredible story with fervour and grace.
