Join the host of The Great British Sewing Bee Patrick Grant as he takes you behind the scenes of the Sewing Bee workroom, through Saville Row and on a journey to understanding what it means to craft and be creative in today’s world.

With no shortage of stories from his time on telly, Patrick shares some of the greatest triumphs as well as the last-minute disasters that are all part and parcel of making things that last.

Patrick will explore how our relationship with clothing has gone wrong in ways we barely notice: 100 billion garments produced every year, a third of them never worn, and the equivalent of a bin lorry full of clothes burned or buried every single second. But his argument is not nostalgic. It’s personal, economic, and quietly radical—about what gets lost when price becomes the only measure of value, and what might be recovered when it isn't.

With the chance to ask Patrick your own questions, expect an evening about craftmanship, creativity, and the joy of art in a world increasingly held together by Polyester and wishful thinking.
