Posted
Monday 4 March 2024

With jaw-dropping Sci-Fi action sequences, moving documentaries, monumental movies reaching key milestones and future classics battling it out for Oscars success, here are our 5 highlights this month.

City of God

Celebrating its 21st anniversary, the film that revitalised Brazilian cinema returns to our screens. City of God (From Fri 1 Mar) is a modern classic about a budding photographer who dreams of a life free from the violence he sees every day.

Your Fat Friend

A film about fatness and the messy feelings we hold about our bodies, Your Fat Friend (Mon 4 Mar) is deeply moving. Filmed over 6 years, this documentary follows Aubrey Gordon, blogger-turned-author, as she seeks to change the conversation around fatness, and challenge the fantasies peddled by the diet industry.

Dune: Part Two

After a 4-month delay from the SAG-AFTRA strike, the eagerly anticipated Dune: Part Two (From Fri 1 Mar) finally makes it onto our screens. With stunning cinematography and a who's who cast of the Hollywood elite, Denis Villeneuve’s Sci-Fi sequel is an awe-inspiring spectacle made to be seen on the big screen.

Drive- Away Dolls

At only 84 minutes, Ethan Coen’s solo directorial debut Drive-Away Dolls (From Fri 22 Mar) is anything short of a good time. In need of a fresh start, friends Jamie and Marian embark on a road trip to Tallahassee, but things go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals.

Awards Season 2024

From Fri 15 – Thu 21 Mar we’re pleased to bring back some of this year’s top contenders for cinema’s biggest accolades. Featuring the Box Office titans of Summer 2023, Barbie and Oppenheimer, Palme d’Or Winner Anatomy of a Fall plus 5 other titles vying for Oscars glory.
