Queer (Fri 13th - Tue 24th Dec 2024)
Challengers director Luca Guadagnino (and writer Justin Kuritzkes) transport us to 1940s Mexico with their adaptation of William Burroughs’ autobiographical novel. Daniel Craig dazzles as William Lee, an outcast American expat living in Mexico City, revelling in its nightlife and colourful, larger-than-life characters, who becomes infatuated with an elusive younger man.
Nightbitch (Fri 13th - Thu 19th Dec 2024)
Oscar nominee Amy Adams goes feral in Marielle Heller’s genre-bending study of motherhood. Amy Adams’ (Arrival) Mother puts her job on hold to raise her toddler. Gradually, a heightened transformation of her feelings, sense of self and relationship to the world spark a change in her that is as liberating as it is radical. Adapted from Rachel Yoder’s bestselling novel, Heller’s Nightbitch is a provocative tale for the sleepless.
