Need something to do between Friday 27 October and Sunday 5 November 2023? How about Milkshake! Monkey, The Amazing Bubble Man, Planting Roots Festival and more?

This Autumn Half-Term at Warwick Arts Centre, families can find inspiring tales, familiar faces, amazing feats and more.

Louis Pearl has spent some 30 years wowing audiences the world over as The Amazing Bubble Man (Sunday 29 October). His huge colourful bubbles seem to defy logic, as the renowned 'bubble-ologist' creates square bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, and bubbles big enough to envelope a person!

My First Concert: Under The Sea (Thursday 2 November) introduces younger listeners from 0-7 years to the wonders of live music. Guest percussionist Tom Hall, a BBC Young Musician 2018 finalist, and others present an hour of gentle and charming tunes with a sea theme.

There's family-friendly fun for all ages at the inaugural Planting Roots Festival (Saturday 4 November). A day filled with hope, excitement, and a shared commitment to a sustainable future, expect inspiring performances, workshops, stalls. Among the free activities are workshops covering such topics as how to create art from junk, and making fabric dyes from home kitchen waste.

As part of the festival, Akademi and Polka Theatre present Plastic Drastic Fantastic (Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November), a contemporary dance theatre work for children (aged 7+) and their families. Accessible for D/deaf audiences, the production explores our complex relationship with plastics.

Milkshake Live! Milkshake Monkey's Musical (Sunday 5 November) finds Channel 5's famed Monkey joined by some of his favourite Milkshake! friends, including Paddington Bear, Daisy and Ollie, Noddy, Milo, Pip and Posy, and Blue’s Clues & You!

Meanwhile, our popular weekly Family Sundays continue (every Sunday until 10 December). The free drop-in artist-led creative workshops span visual arts, dance, drama, spoken word and music, and run from 1.30pm-4pm – just turn up, no prior booking required.
