What's On this  Summer Half-Term

There's something alien heading to us this half-term as The Smeds And The Smoos visit...

Based on the award-winning book by author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, The Smeds And The Smoos is set on a far off planet where the red Smeds and blue Smoos can't be friends.

When a young Smed and Smoo fall in love, their families are furious, forcing the youngsters to zoom off spacewards. An interplanetary adventure for ages 3+, The Smeds and The Smoos is the latest family production from Tall Stories (The Gruffalo and Room On The Broom).

Alongside the alien take on Romeo And Juliet, we've also got two free Family Sundays, (Sunday 28 May and Sunday 4 June) running from 1.30pm-4pm.

Just drop by and join in with creating imagery inspired by the vibrant and colourful exhibition, The Reason For Painting. The exhibition is also free and available for you to visit until Sunday 25 June.

Why not stop by for an hour of singing, moving and dancing for all ages with our free Family Singing sessions? The next session is on Sunday 28 May at 11.30am.

We also have My First Concert: A Teddy Bear's Picnic, an interactive classical concert for ages 0-7 years, happening on Thursday 1 June at 1pm.

Half-term films

Throughout half-term our cinemas will also be screening the animated adventure My Fairy Troublemaker. A family film, about a lost fairy has to team up with a 12-year old girl to find her way back to the fairy world.

We're also screening Guardians of the Galaxy, so if you're a family of Marvel fans who haven't yet seen Volume 3, (or perhaps you just want to see it again!) you can catch it with us until Thursday 1 June.

Whether you're looking to get arty or enjoy a film, we've got plenty of opportunities for some half-term family fun!

We hope to see you soon.
