Start the new year with inspiring performances, unforgettable cinema, and creative experiences for all ages at Warwick Arts Centre.

Music and live performances

Immerse yourself in world-class music this month. The National Youth Orchestra returns with its trademark brilliance and scale, bringing together the UK’s most talented young musicians for a powerful and exhilarating concert. Later in the month, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment presents a vivid and expressive programme performed on period instruments.

January also features vibrant live music events that bring the venue to life. Showcase your talent or discover emerging voices at Open Mic Night, or enjoy the smooth, soulful sounds of Perfectly George, a tribute to the iconic music of George Michael performed with style and authenticity. The master of one-liners Mark Simmons brings his tour Jest To Impress to the stage for an evening of non-stop gags.

Unmissable cinema this January

Warm up this January with a standout selection of films and live screenings at Warwick Arts Centre. Experience the intensity of the stage on screen with NT Live: Hamlet and NT Live: The Audience, alongside distinctive cinema offerings such as Marty Supreme, Sentimental Value, and the music-led Song Sung Blue. Each screening brings its own unique story, atmosphere, and perspective, perfect for starting the year with inspiration and insight.

The month also features Becoming Victoria Wood, a warm and insightful tribute celebrating the life, humour, and legacy of one of Britain’s most loved creative voices.

Our Songwriting Workshops return on Tuesday evenings for those looking to refine your craft. Open to all levels of experience and ability, these sessions offer a supportive space to explore lyrics and melody.

Across Warwick Arts Centre, families can continue to explore visual arts, activity trails, and welcoming spaces designed for inspiration and togetherness.

Theatre and storytelling

From reimagined classics to timeless stories, theatre takes centre stage this month.

Experience the magic of Cinderella, a fresh and imaginative telling of the much-loved story, filled with warmth, humour, and theatrical sparkle. For those seeking gripping drama, The Oresteia: Libation Bearers and Eumenides delivers an intense and compelling journey through revenge, justice, and transformation. Boldly staged and rich with contemporary relevance, it is a standout theatrical event for the new year.
