Creative Socials: HOME

Fancy doing something a bit different? Come along to Creative Socials for a chance to switch off, get creative and spend some time with other students. 

Join multidisciplinary artist Frances Yeung to create your own miniature house — a place that feels like it belongs to you.

Choose from colourful paper templates and wooden off-cuts, then decorate your house using collage, Posca pens and your imagination. Your house could be inspired by a real place, a favourite memory, somewhere you’ve always felt at home, or a completely imagined world.

Once you’ve finished, you can add your creation to a collective miniature village made by everyone taking part in the session.

No previous creative experience is needed — just come along, get stuck in and create a little place of your own.

Frances Yeung is a multidisciplinary artist working across socially engaged art, research and design. Her practice explores race, gender, identity and belonging, often bringing greater visibility to marginalised communities and their stories.
