Things to do in Coventry this May

Posted
Friday 8 May

From great films and entertaining music, comedy and celebrity speakers alongside a whole host of family friendly events, shows, exhibitions and activities, there's plenty to enjoy at Warwick Arts Centre this month.

Cinema with style

May’s cinema offering includes two films featuring Oscar winner Anne Hathaway.

Mother Mary sees her play a Taylor-Swift-esque pop superstar in a stylish melodrama, and The Devil Wears Prada 2 delivers a return to the cutthroat world of high fashion, almost twenty years since the original film.

Celebrate two very different iconic figures from two very different parts of the entertainment world with Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition and David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet.

More cinema offerings this May include mysterious time-travelling odyssey Rose of Nevada, energising documentary Our Land which looks at the right to roam in the English countryside, horror film Hokum and Perfect Blue, one of the most influential films in anime history.

Live comedy from Taskmaster alumnus

A trio of previous Taskmaster contestants will be entertaining audiences at Warwick Arts Centre in May.

Ivo Graham will get you thinking about what is the best orange thing in the world with his Orange Crush tour. Sunsets? Marmalade? Garfield? Come and help him decide and compile his orange list.

Mike Wozniak is here to deliver his new stand-up tour show The Bench, which will prominently feature the story of a bench. And Judi Love will be bringing honest and humorous stories of motherhood, work and everyday life in All about the Love.
